Whilst it does seem a lifetime ago, your classes were the first opportunity I had to meet other mum’s- to- be and they soon became the highlight of my week. Above all, as our dates were drawing nearer and things were getting more scary, I really did need your good humour and down to earth advice. In fact it wasn’t until I endured some other truly tedious classes that I fully appreciated the depth of your knowledge and ability to educate and reassure us – and you fielded so many questions. My father is an obstetrician and, coming from a medical family, I really do think you are a beautiful, fabulous, wonderful person and a credit to your profession. Being a vulnerable first time mum your reassurance and support were invaluable, you covered so much I doubt you are aware of what a lasting impression you have left on us. The support that you gave during the last few weeks of my pregnancy, when we were so worried about our baby , was so important to us. We thought we had just signed up for classes, but when we needed some extra support to help us make difficult decisions Tamsin was there. She was so professional, kind and down to earth I’m not sure we would have got through such an awful time without her. As it turned out our daughter Isabel was born and to our delight she thrives. I would never have thought to go for a waterbirth, but after hearing you talk so positively about them we decided to try for one.
